If you are experiencing a crash, please review the Before you play article and ensure that your system has been updated.
Should the crashing persist, please check that the Paging File Size is set to automatic:
- Go to Start, type Control Panel, and then select it
- Select System and Security
- Select System
- In the side bar, select Advanced system settings
- In the new window, navigate to the Advanced tab
- Under the Performance section, select Settings
- In the new window, navigate to the Advanced tab
- Under the Virtual Memory section, select Change
- Ensure that “Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers” is checked
- Restart your computer for changes to take effect
If none of the above resolves this, please reach out to our support and ensure that your Diagnostic Mode is turned on. To check this in-game:
- Go to Options
- Go to Video, scroll to the bottom
- Turn on Diagnostic Mode
- Restart the Game
This will log data about your hardware and computer state. All data logged can be found on your computer here: %localappdata%\Gears5\Saved\Logs\diagnostic.log
